Roy Rogers (born Leonard Franklin Slye, November 5, 1911 – July 6, 1998) was an Americansinger and cowboyactor. Roy Rogers Restaurants chain was named after him.

He and his third wife Dale Evans, his golden horse named Trigger, and his German Shepherd named Bullet were in more than 100 movies and The Roy Rogers Show.
